Sunday Reminders June 28-July 5

Greetings Viperfish Families,

As always, thank you to all that help to make each meet a success. This is long but you need to READ THROUGH EVERYTHING.

IMPORTANT: While summer swim is a bit more relaxed, this is still a team effort and the kids depend on each other to 1. Earn points, and 2. Support each other. This particularly ties to relays.

When you register, there is a question for each meet as to whether your child will swim relays. We do not mind if you do not swim relays, but PLEASE select the appropriate drop-down when declaring for the meet. NOT the day of (unless your child unexpectedly becomes sick). 

SWIM CLINICS: Coach Nathan is coordinating swim clinics for swimmers that would like additional time working on their skills, for example, improving their dive, flip turns, effective breathing techniques, fine tuning specific strokes, etc. Here are the details:

  • Monday-Friday, 10am-12pm
  • Fair Ridge Pool (behind Stone Hill Middle)
  • $30 per 30 minute lesson

DIVISIONALS & ALL-STARS: Both events are very large and host many teams. Declaring early helps us provide estimates to host teams for their planning purposes.

  • Volunteering: Be on the look out. We will still need volunteers for these events but are waiting on the hosts to let us know what they need. We'll let you know when they open.
  • Divisionals July 18th: Swimmers need to go ahead and declare for Divisionals.
    • You can only sign-up for events that you have competed in during the season.
    • If you have qualified for 2 all-star events then you cannot swim in Divisionals.
    • If you have only qualified for 1 all-star event then you can sign-up for 2 events at Divisionals.
  • All-stars July 25th: Swimmers must meet qualifying times found here.

**When signing up for breast stroke or fly - if you do not have a time you MUST get it assessed by a coach before being allowed to swim in competition.
